H.E. Sheikh Mohammed Abalkhail has obtained his bachelor degree in Business Administration from the college of Commerce, University of Cairo in 1965, after his return from Cairo he joined the office of the minister of communications in Riyadh. In 1961, he became Director General of the Institute of Public Administration, then an affiliate of the Ministry of Finance and National Economy. He assumed responsibility for establishing the institute and held this position for three years. In 1963, he became Deputy Minister for Finance and National Economy and was responsible for preparation of the State Budget. He was appointed as State Minister for Finance and National Economy and member of the Cabinet in 1970 and became Minister of Finance and National Economy in 1975. He retired in 1995 and established his own firm “Center for Economic and Management Studies”. He occupied the position of Board Chairman of Riyadh Bank for one session (three years) and remained member of the Consultative Bureau for the Supreme Council of the Gulf Cooperating Countries (GCC) for eight years. He was also a member of J.P. Morgan Chase International Council for a period of eight years. At present, he is the Chairman of the Board of Sanad Investment Company (Riyadh) and President of Center for Economic and Management Studies (Riyadh).
